Issue
While running the Installation program, after selecting the password file, the Next button remains disabled and it is not possible to continue with the process.
Cause
This issue could to be related with:
1- A problem in the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service. It was reported on computers with Windows update KB5008212 installed and it seems that this update somehow interferes with WMI. In all the analyzed cases we have found that the WMI service database was corrupted.
Both, the installation program and the product itself, use the WMI service to calculate a fingerprint of your computer (a unique number used to identify your computer), but the service fails because the WMI database is corrupted, and the installation program, or the product itself, shows an error.
2- Anti virus program: Anti virus software is becoming increasingly aggressive and some brands of AV completely prevent the download of installation software, remove important files from the installation or prevent the execution of code that uses encryption (as in the case of product installers). In some anti virus programs, it is even complicated to temporarily disable them.
If you face the problem indicated in this article, we strongly suggest temporarily disabling or uninstalling the anti virus software. You can keep Windows Defender (the default Windows anti virus) enabled as we have found that, using the default protection settings, it does not interfere with the installation.
How to proceed
To solve the issue it is required to repair the database of the Windows Management Instrumentation service. A special tool was created for this purpose.
