Issue
The product or the Setup tool (Eo Setup or Era Setup) displays the message “K0040”
The error may occur:
•When starting the product
•When installing new components
•When installing updates
•When running Eo Setup or Era Setup tools
Cause
Some important computer identification data is not present. Possible reasons:
- The configuration file was deleted or moved
- Corrupted configuration file
How to Proceed
Uninstall the product from the Windows Control Panel "Add or Remove programs" entry and install the product again.
