There are 2 options to purchase Sierra Software products:
Software subscription or Temporary license >> Monthly or annual payments
Regular software product or Perpetual license >> One-time payment
This is basically a scheme where you pay for usage time. When you subscribe to one of our products you get a license that is valid for a limited period of time and you can use the product as long as the license remains valid. You can easily renew your subscription after the subscription time ends (paying the subscription renewal fee), or if you prefer you can set the automatic subscription renewal (recurring payments) so that the license remains valid continuously. You can cancel the recurring payments at anytime. This licensing option allows you to use a powerful system, with a minimum investment, amortizing it with the income of your work in days, instead of months. In addition, all software version updates become available at no additional cost, then you will always have the latest version available. According to the promotion, you may receive several licenses when you purchase a software subscription, thus allowing you to use the product on several computers at the same time. The computer(s) where you will use the product must have a permanent connection to the Internet.
This is the traditional way to purchase software products. You purchase a license that is valid forever (use the software as long as you want), by making a single one-time payment. Regular software products are available in 2 formats:
• Protected by an USB protection device (dongle)
• Protected by a virtual protection system (keyless). Here we will refer to keyless software products only. According to the promotion, you may receive several licenses when you purchase a regular software product, thus allowing you to use the product on several computers at the same time. Computers do not require a permanent Internet connection, although you will need internet to activate your license and validate it time to time (this can also be performed using any other computer with internet access).
These are the main differences between both licensing options, that will allow you to evaluate and decide which licensing option that best fits your needs.
