This chapter contains information about the some software resources called System Components.
Components refer to sets of pre-built resources that users can use during the design creation process. By using the available components the design creation process becomes easier and faster. Components are not software features, but they are parts or elements stored in libraries. As an example, the pre-digitized fonts are components. By selecting a pre-digitized font (from the fonts library) in the lettering system, a text can be created literally in seconds; otherwise object digitizing (a more time demanding and complex process) is required.
According to the source, there are:
System Components
They are those software resources designed by the software manufacturer and included in the software application by default. Available components depend on the software level. Each software level contains a set of system components ready to use and some other system components can be optionally purchased on demand (extra components) to enlarge the system components library (individual components or component packs). While all the installed components are visible in the software, extra (optional) components show a locked mark (padlock).
User Components
According to the software level, the software may include component builders. Users can create unlimited new components through the component builders. Some component builders can be optionally purchased (extra features).
According to the characteristics, component types are:
Components for Embroidery Design:
▪Embroidery LETTERING FONTS
▪Embroidery MONOGRAM FONTS
▪Embroidery FILL PATTERNS
▪Embroidery PROGRAMMABLE STITCHES
▪Embroidery TEXTURES
▪Embroidery MOTIFS
Components for Bling Design:
▪Bling LETTERING FONTS
▪Bling TEXTURES
▪Bling MOTIFS
During the software installation, the installer program installs all the pre-built system components (also including the extra components). Some system components are ready to use (unlocked) while other system components are blocked and cannot be used; but all the complete set of system components is installed in the software. In other words, all the system components are visible from the software application.
If and when the software manufacturer releases new system components, your software will show a notification about the availability of a new version of system components. We suggest you to download and install the new version of system components to get the new set of available components (standard for your software version or extra components).
Extra system components can be purchased in-app (starting from the software application) for regular software products (perpetual licenses) only. This is not available for software subscriptions at this time.
Some extra components can be purchased during the use of the application while browsing the components library (select or double click on the locked component). Any system component can be also purchased from the "Buy Extra Components" function, on the File > Account page.
Some extra components can be purchased individually and some other extra components can be purchased in packs of components.
