Once the design has been created and it is prepared for production, it must be exported or sent to the machine.
As the software can create designs with different decoration specialties (rhinestone, sequin, spangle, etc) and because there is no standard design format for all kind of machines, the software requires the appropriate output driver (also known as output add-on) for each machine brand & model. Users must have the correct hotfix machine driver/s according to the available machine/s.
The only driver always included in any hotfix software configuration (except for OEM versions) is the VECTOR & CUTTER Output Driver. This driver can export designs in vector files formats (for other graphic applications) and it can also send the designs to vinyl & laser cutters (through the proprietary cutter driver for Windows) to create rhinestone stencils. This output driver is also useful for those who create hotfix transfers manually.
