Issue

The program displays the message "Error U1100”

The error may occur:

Executing the program

Cause

The U1100 is a critical system error.

This error is not specific for one kind of error, it may occur because of different reasons.

How to proceed

1.Uninstall the software from the control panel. Then restart the computer.

2.Download the cleaning tool (CleanDesignEra) for your software version from the Area for Users.

3.Execute the cleaning tool. Then restart the computer one more time.

4.Disable any security program that could be affecting the software installation (antivirus, firewall, etc).

5.Check that the Windows Defender (antivirus) is enabled, to keep your computer safe.

6.Reinstall the software (full version).

7.You can then re-enable the security programs. Some of those programs may also require to add the folder name where the software has been installed in their safe-list or exclusion lists or exception list, in order to keep the files unaltered on security scanning.

This error may also require (sometimes):

To allow incoming & outgoing permissions for our software in windows firewall.

Remove any cleaning programs (such as Ccleaner, Malwarebytes, System Mechanic, etc).

Important Notes:

Even though you disable the antivirus during installation process, the antivirus will scan and may delete some files once you enable it again. This file deletion will cause the software to fail on certain input/output commands, or even prevent it from starting up altogether.

In this case, you must manually add a few critical Sierra files/folders to the "safe list" or "exclusion list" or "exception list" of your antivirus program (when that option is available) as soon as the software has been installed and BEFORE to enable the antivirus software again.

The Path names to add will vary based on Windows version:

For 64-bits Windows 7/8/10:

C:\Program Files(X86)\Sierra\

C:\Program Files(X86)\Common Files\Sierra\

C:\ProgramData\Sierra\

For 32-bits Windows 7/8/10:

C:\Program Files\Sierra\

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sierra\

C:\ProgramData\Sierra\
